Lay's Wavy Milk Chocolate Potato Chips

When I saw these new Lay's Wavy Milk chocolate covered potato chips in the grocery store I think my jaw hit the floor. I am a HUGE fan of salted chocolate. And with my chip addiction I thought this would be the PERFECT combination. But they were $4.99 and to our household that's a very expensive treat. So I passed on it the first two times we went grocery shopping. Finally last night, my hubby talked me into getting a bag and I couldn't wait to try them!

As soon as I got home I busted into the bag and looked inside. Holy moly. They look nothing like they do on the bag. There are maybe 15 chips in there. All broken little pieces and then one or two huge blobs of chips stuck together with chocolate. In any case, I took my first bite and.......hmmm. I don't know how to explain it. I took my second bite and......ya. Kinda disappointed.

The chips are not crunchy like you'd expect. They are slightly soggy? Not sure if that's the right word to describe it. I think the amount of chocolate covering the chip is overwhelming and made the chips seem stale. Don't get me wrong, the chocolate that's on the chips is DELISH...so yummy but I just had something different in mind. The chips to chocolate ratio is wrong. I think if they had maybe drizzled the chips in chocolate instead of completing saturating them it would be a different story.

So all in all, I will not recommend these and I will not buy them again. It's probably one of those things you have to try for yourself to see what I mean but they were pretty underwhelming and for $4.99, I would rather just get a bag of chips and a chocolate bar.

Have you tried these chips yet????
